Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve Field Trip
Citrus County Audubon Society has scheduled a birding field trip at Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve for February 23, 2012. The public is welcome to attend. Preregistration is not necessary and participants with all levels of birding skills are welcome.
This field trip is led by CCAS member Susie Schofield. It begins at 8:00 am, will involve some easy walking, and will last about 4 hours.
The Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve in Yankeetown is a place that must be experienced to fully appreciate the beauty of Florida’s Nature Coast wetlands. With streams, lakes, salt marshes, pine and hardwood forests, the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve is an undisturbed piece of old Florida.
