McKethan Lake Lawn Chair Field Trip

Citrus County Audubon Society has scheduled a Lawn Chair birding field trip at McKethan Lake for Monday, November 26, 2012. The public is welcome to attend. Pre-registration is not necessary and participants with all levels of birding skills are welcome.

It begins at 8:00 am, will be mostly sitting and will last about 2-3 hours.  Bring your favorite lawn chair, some binoculars, and bug spray.  We'll let the birds come to us!

Located 7 miles north of Brooksville on US 41 McKethan Lake is a beautiful state park with a quiet lake surrounded by large live oak trees. The peaceful setting usually produces a wide variety of song birds. There is a $2.00 per person entry fee.
