Withlacoochee River Kayak Trip
Citrus County Audubon Society has scheduled a birding kayak trip for Tuesday, November 27th, 2012 at 8:30 am. We will meet at the parking area in front of the entrance to
McGregor Smith/Flying Eagle ( just west of the 44 bridge off Boy Scout Road) at 8:30 and go to the launch site from there. This may change depending on river conditions and the weather, so it is important that you
check your email just before the morning of the trip if you plan to attend!
The trip will involve some easy paddling around the islands in the shallow parts of the river south of the 44 bridge. There will be lots of “pauses” along the way to look for birds, so if you are interested in speed and covering a lot of miles, this trip is not for you! We plan on being out a little over two hours. You must bring your own kayak and bug spray.
If you have questions please email Lynn DeLong
