St. John's River Boat Trip
Join us for a leisurely boat ride on the St. John's river on Wednesday, March 27.
To carpool from Dunnellon-meet at 7:00 am in front of the Walmart. Or drive directly to Astor to the Blackwater Inn on Rt 40 and the SW side of the St. John's River.
Be there by 9:15 to allow time to get situated, pay Capt. Ernie [$20 pp], and get on board. Boat leaves promptly at 10:00 and returns at 12:00. We will then lunch at William's Landing above the Blackwater Inn.
Afterward we head over to nearby beautiful DeLeon Springs State Park [$6/car] for a walk [about 1 mile] around the spring, butterfly garden, and nature trail looking for wading and woodland birds.
We should arrive back home around 6:00 and no later than 7pm.
