     Citrus County Audubon Society will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7 pm at Unity Church of Citrus County.
      Our guest speaker will be Marianne Korosy, Audubon of Florida’s Important Bird Area coordinator. Her presentation entitled “Forests, beaches, marshes, and shrublands: Chapter opportunities in Important Bird Areas” will focus on some of Florida’s 100 designated Important Bird Areas that encompass a range of natural habitats including forests, grasslands and shrublands, coastal beaches and tidal marshes, and migratory stopover habitats.
     Tour some of Florida’s special IBAs and find out where the birds can lead us in citizen science, conservation and outreach.

Unity Church of Citrus County is located at 2628 W. Woodview Lane, Lecanto, FL 34461. That is off of Rt.491 about ˝ mile north of the intersection of Rt.486 and Rt.491. Turn between the Woodview Center and Grimaldi’s signs—then up the hill one block.
